The Morris Cannonballers set off on a six day drive on 19th June, in the hope of raising in excess of £100,000 for BuildAid. Participants were sponsored to drive from the start point in the Northern Italian mountains, over the Stelvio Pass, through Slovenia and Croatia to Budapest, completing a series of challenges along the way.

Flip Out directors Brent & Jon took off in the green Lamborghini, making a big impression in the hopes of becoming champions.

They did not disappoint, winning the overall title of Morris Cannonball 2017 winners and the event raised over £160,000 for the charity, a massive success!

BuildAid involves working with the affected communities by volunteering professional construction services, funding employment and building materials to reconstruct or replace community buildings destroyed by natural disasters. By employing a local workforce, using established technologies and locally available materials, it shortens the delay in providing urgently needed clinics, school buildings and accommodation as well as putting much needed finance into the local economy. Currently they are working in the Philippines following the devastation caused by Typhoon Haiyan. The charity have also worked in Sri Lanka and Haiti to assist communities in their time of need. We are grateful to be able to assist with raising funds for such a worthwhile cause.
